for someone with such good intentions, I've had too many run ins with the cops.  first time, my friend and I were swinging at the park after hours (but like it was a public park though??).  popo shined a flashlight into our eyes so we didn't know who it was, and my friend stuck a key between the fingers of her clenched fist and told me she'd fight him if he attacked us.  he let us go, and she didn't have to cut him so it's all good.  second time it wasn't a cop but if she didn't believe us we would've gotten arrested.  for this 'good vibes + compassion' club my friend and I were in, we were asked to do one random act of kindness.  being the PINTEREST WORTHY people we are, we decided to write cute notes to people and stick them in library books . . . harmless right? WRONG.  as soon as we turned around, the librarian was all up in our grill like "What do you think you're doing?!" and we were like, "telling people that they're beautiful and amazing???"  and she was like, "PROVE IT." so we showed her the notes and was like "oh snap, I thought you were hiding drugs in the books cuz we've had a few problems with that lately."  my goodie-two-shoes friend and i looked at each other and were like, "The FUUUUU-".  All my efforts to be nice, and this is what I get.

anyways, third and probs not last incident happened a couple days ago (4).  me and a couple friends were wandering around the city, making fools of ourselves as usual (talking way too loud about inappropriate stuff, imitating messed up street signs, screaming when motorcycles revved unexpectedly, grilling a waiter about the different colors of curry and their meaning . . . the usual).  I've learned a lot of things from this one day, and I'm about to share all my little epiphanies.

1. Tinder is weird af, but highly entertaining if you don't take it seriously (and mispronounce everyone's names)

2. rolled ice cream is overrated! not worth my $7 again, and definitely not worth yours.  I don't know if I expected it to taste better or something because of the form, but presentation was weak and I'm just gonna stick to my regular cones of superman.

3. good friends who are just there to have fun are so underrated!  today I was reading this book about the '10 smartest decision to make before turning 40' and one of them is to MAKE MORE TIME FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE FUN TO BE AROUND. and after this night, I thought U RIGHT!  these two people in particular - we share absolutely no life experiences, I've only gotten to really connect with them recently, and yet we are the funniest people on earth together.  I came too close to pissing myself too many times, because we are living memes.

4. saying yes to everything is a good idea if you want good stories and no regrets.  when my friend asked if we wanted to go see the sunset, I knew an adventure was about to begin.  we sped down the street chasing sunlight, and ended up on the roof of a hospital.  I sprinted to the edge, and the view was pretty dang close to heaven.  dude, THIS IS WHAT LIFE IS ABOUT.  those moments that make you in awe, because you didn't know something so amazing could be right there the whole time.  when you look out and feel on top of the world with bliss, and terrified of dying at the same time. this was that!  we watched the sunset over the city, took some oddly posed pics, and chilled on the ledge - until a cop rolled up and was like, "get down from that ledge and get off the roof!  y'all shouldn't even be here since y'all don't have a pass."  yeah, so apparently that roof wasn't supposed to be accessible, but why was the door unlocked?? guess we'll never know, but seriously it was a gift from God.

here's to doing more underrated stuff, with underrated people, in underrated places for the sake of living.  living in the way that gets your heart beating hardest.
