I didn't really do anything today. I figured it was my last day to do absolutely nothing for awhile. After waking up around 0800, I sat in my room and studied Spanish. Then I took a 30 minute nap that lasted 4 hours. I woke up at 1900, so I decided to go for a walk back to the cute shoe store. The saleswoman said the material was synthetic so I decided not to buy. For dinner I found the best sandwich shop called Rosetta Bakery. Imagine 'Ana and my favorite pizza we ever had at the boujie (idk how to speel) restaurant in Seattle but the form of a sandwich. Magic. And they took card!
Since today wasn't quite as thrilling as most days, I decided to write some major lessons.
Things I must do more often from lessons learned by travel:
1. Talk face to face
2. Call people I care about
3. Be more proactive about hanging out and meeting up w people
4. Spend time w family
5. Be more open to friendships with different people
6. Make my faith the center of my life
7. Turn off my phone
8. Do good
9. Make art
I walked down via maqueda all the way until my street via Roma. palermo will have a place in my heart.
Solo travel
Pros: can take fat naps all day, enjoying evening meals alone w sunset views
Cons: no one to motivate me when I'm a lazy bum
Grateful for: good food that includes arugula and sun dried tomatoes, water, fruit, beds, cold showers, walkable cities, chill days
