Salut et au revoir to the south of France

I woke up refreshed, and with a new zit on my face. Honestly I'm not surprised because my hygiene has taken a hit with all the traveling.
Georgia insisted I had tea for breakfast. I told her I could only drink herbal. She was like, "green tea is natural tho." But you know what, so is weed. So is weed. Anyways the tea was good and the little cookies filled with Nutella were a nice addition. She told me about her life working for different companies and learning English, French, and Italian after moving from Croatia. This place is a real oasis for her. But she doesn't get enough money in her retirement so she has to do Airbnb but she likes it. She's a pensionista. Only 1000€ a month is pretty sad. But she still has enough to feed the birds in her backyard garden and a stray cat that visits a lot. She says she loves her home and her home loves her back.
I spent the day in Aix-en-Provence. The public transit is pretty cheap and easy to use. The bus driver let me on for free and I couldn't explain to him that I could pay and he kept refusing when I held up my euros.
In the town, there were flee markets, farmers markets, and tons of Christmas stuff up. Super cute.
I walked up to Cezanne's studio and it was also pretty cute. After, I went to an art museum for a bit then headed back.
I had a bus to catch to the train station, but I didn't realize the airport and the bus station a mile and a quarter away had the same name and I was at the wrong one. I tried to walk there but halfway thru, the sidewalk ended because of construction and I had to walk back. I missed the bus I paid for and had to buy a new ticket from the airport. Isn't it funny how your wins and losses always even out? The ride was nice, the view was pretty, and now I'm freezing in Gare Saint Charles.
