I had the Best sleep last night. Thank goodness for a working heater. When I woke up I was treated to a large breakfast and a pancake tortilla thing. I need to eat like this more often.
Zoubida helped me find a print shop and printing my boarding pass in color was 5dh (0.5€).
Now I'm just sitting here until 11:45. The medina isn't open yet, so the shops are just starting to set up at 10:00 but she says by 11 it will be lively. Then I said bye to our street talas sghira.
No body tried to hassle me until I got to the blue gate then this guy tried to get me to get a taxi ride from him.
Luckily Fouad showed up on time and I arrived at the Fes airport in 35 minutes for 200dh.
I listen to my Spotify favs of the last 3 years and all the adds are in French. I need to learn French.
A woman offered me a clementine while I was sitting in the terminal. People here are so kind.
Turns out Butter (Zoubida) hooked us up with cheaper rides than what the Airbnb host was offering. She's a true friend.
Grateful for mother figures.
A woman sitting next to me on the plane offered me bread. Again, people are so nice here. When I finally made it to Vitrolles my bus didn't come so I caught another one. People don't really speak English here so it's definitely been a challenge.
Nothing scares me quite like walking through a new city without a lot of lights by myself at night. I was definitely praying the whole half mile walk.
Vitrolles is actually safe and Georgia my Airbnb host is sweet.
I took the best hand held shower of my life and she made soap for me.
This Croatian woman's home is adorable and she's kind of a hippie.
Her fancy water pot actually made the French tap taste good.
She's letting me keep my bags here longer so I can take the 210 to Aix en Provence. Again, I need to learn French.
Grateful for: a warm bed, WiFi, people who I can talk to, safe neighborhoods
